So I haven’t used my office the way I thought I would when we moved in our house. It has literally become a closet for all of my art, craft, and design supplies. I grab what I need out of the room and bring it back downstairs to the kitchen to work. Mostly because I have a three year old and nine month old. I’m usually watching them while I’m working on a project. So with that being said I think we’re turning my office into a storage/gym. Unusual combination, right? My husband needs a place to put his exercise equipment, and I want the treadmill out of the play room. I thought I would post a few of my favorite inspiration photos!

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve never been a huge fan of wallpaper. Once you tried to peel wallpaper off of a wall, you say to yourself, “I will never put up wallpaper again!” Well, I guess I’m far enough removed from my last horrible wallpaper experience because I ordered four rolls for my powder bathroom. Even my husband (the wallpaper hater) loves what I’ve chosen! I chose this wall covering from Designers Guild:

It is a light purpley-pink. The marble on the floor is purple, grey and lilac. I decided not to hide from the crazy marble. I’m just going to play it up. It’s going to look fun and elegant at the same time. I’m excited to have some color in my home!

Designers Guild is a fabulous company out of London. It is owned and run by Tricia Guild and her brother. If you love color and pattern, you will love all Designers Guild products. The patterns and colors speak for themselves, so I’m just going to post a lot of pictures for you! They carry everything from linens and pillows to designer fabric and wall coverings. AND they’re having a big SALE right now, so find something beautiful for yourself!

Usually I’m underwhelmed with Pottery Barn. I get the catalogue, flip through it, and throw it away. It seems like they have the same things year after year. They just tweak it a bit. Today, I got my new January 2011 catalogue in the mail today, and I was surprised to find that I really liked so many of their new items! I want to share a few of my favorites. And the prices are really reasonable also.
