Today was a big day in Oklahoma. It was Bedlam! The University of Oklahoma plays Oklahoma State University every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And for all of you international folks, I’m talking about football, of course! This year was a particularly BIG game because the winner will most likely go to the conference championship. I attended OU for my undergrad and graduate degrees, so needless to say I’m a HUGE OU fan. We love football in the Nance household. And today I’m proud to say that my team won! It was a tremendous game. Hard fought on both sides. So in honor of our victory I would like to share some photos of my university’s campus. The style of many buildings on OU’s campus is called Cherokee Gothic. Cherokee is a Native American tribe. Mrs. Boren (the wife of OU’s president David Boren) has a passion for gardens and flowers. So every fall during football season the campus is decorated with beautiful chrysanthemums and in the spring tulips are everywhere!
