Usually I’m underwhelmed with Pottery Barn. I get the catalogue, flip through it, and throw it away. It seems like they have the same things year after year. They just tweak it a bit. Today, I got my new January 2011 catalogue in the mail today, and I was surprised to find that I really liked so many of their new items! I want to share a few of my favorites. And the prices are really reasonable also.

In our last house, we had two small French doors from the living room into the kitchen. They didn’t need actual working door knobs so I bought these lovely bubble glass door knobs at Anthropologie.
I want to change things up a bit in this new house. There are two sets of French doors to the kitchen. One from the dining room and one from the living room. I went back to Anthro but picked something new. I think they will be a great detailed piece!
This is called the Tea House Doorknob
I was on a mission to find bamboo chairs. I’ve been seeing them on the blogs and in magazines. Well, today, I found them! I thought I wanted black chairs, but I found blue. Here are some of my inspiration pictures.

I could go on and on! Aren’t they all gorgeous? Here are my chairs I bought today here in OKC. These chairs came from French Market Antiques on Britton. I don’t know if I’m going to use them in the formal living room or family room. I also will have cushions made for them.
I want to share a few of my recent purchases with you all! Recently, the barstools arrived. They are so cute and just perfect.
I also unpacked these lanterns I got last year for Christmas. I have three beautiful cream colored candles that go in them. I can’t decide if they look better here by the stairs or outside on the porch… They are from Pottery Barn. I think they still carry them!
Today, my friend and I went antique shopping, and we came across these two beauties! They were a great price, and I think the black will bring some great contrast to my cream-colored living room. The gold in these end tables also ties in with the rest of the gold tones in the room.
I got this lovely wingback chair a few weeks ago for a steal!!! Obviously, it needs to be recovered. I’m still working on that… You can see my fabric samples on the chair.
I hope you enjoyed all these new additions to our home! I really strive to buy unique pieces for reasonable prices. This takes a lot patience and time. You have to really search to find good deals, but in the end it’s worth it. Hope you’re having a great week!
I have an obsession for lamps with black shades right now. I can’t get enough. I want three lamps in my formal living room– two on my console table and one on a large round table next to the sofa. I think I want a large lamp with a giant, black barrel lamp shade next to the sofa. The other two lamps will either have white shades or linen shades. Lamps and their shades range from expensive to outrageous. Here are a few of my options for the living room! Enjoy!
This first lamp is my favorite.
