Dining Room Curtains

As I’ve said before, I wanted the dining room to be glitzy.  It is the first thing you see when you walk in the door.  I love the idea of having a “formal” formal dining room.  Therefore, the curtains must be glamorous.  Curtain Exchange has the most beautiful drapery.  I have drooled over one particular curtain for about 6 months.  It is perfect for the dining room.  Here is a photo of it loosely hanging in the dining room.  The top 1/4 is a cream silk.  Th bottom 3/4 is a grey and cream striped.  There is a grey silk ribbon that divides both sections.

I have a white tablecloth on my dining room table.  It is very dusty in our house due to the fact that our kitchen is still under construction.

Here is a picture of the dining room the rug.  I have the rug put up because of the dust.

I think the patterns really work together.  The curtains almost look like an empire waist dress–so sophisticated and elegant.

This picture shows the gathering in the stripe silk.  This detail makes the drapery full and volumous.  It also requires considerably more fabric.

Right now, this is my first choice for curtains in the dining room.  I’m meeting with another vendor this week to look at other options, but I wanted to share this beautiful one with you!

    • Hi Erin! I checked out your blog. So cute! Thanks so much for the kind words.

The rug is a Feizy rug. They range in price from reasonable to expensive. This one just happens to be reasonable! It’s an 8×10 and I think I bought it for about $750. Which is a great price for a rug! (I wish someone would tell my husband that! HA) If you go to Feizy Home and the look at Power Loomed. This rug is under Saphir.

There is a dealer locater option on their site, but I couldn’t get it to work. You might just email or call them, and I’m sure they can give you a list. Hope this helps!
